- Link, PDF and XLSX A report instead of "estimate_final_2"
Three steps to an estimate your client can approve
- Create the estimate Tasks, hours and rates, the total and tax add up by themselves
- Get the deadline and scenarios Dead Point counts the working days of your country by itself and skips holidays
- Send the link The client approves with a code from the email. Need changes? You get a new version, and the approved one stays in the history
- Discovery & requirements €1,980.00
- UX wireframes €3,300.00
- UI design system €5,280.00
- 01 Create the estimate Line items, rates, a risk buffer. Totals and timelines update after every change, no calculator needed
- 02 Get the deadline and scenarios "Normal" and "crunch" are computed side by side. Dead Point suggests which one to offer the client
- 03 Send the link The client sees the Dead Point date, a day-by-day calendar and how to pay. They approve and pay right from the link
Estimates from your AI agent
Connect Claude Code, Cursor or another MCP client: the agent builds a draft estimate from a brief and prepares the client link

- OpenCode
-
What the agent does
Reads your projects and estimates, builds a draft with every line in one call and prepares the client link
-
How to connect
Issue a token under Account, the "MCP" tab, and paste the ready line into your client: the token is already in it
-
What it costs
Free: 100 calls per month per workspace
Build an estimate from this brief in the Harbor Dental Clinic project and prepare a link for the client
- Reading the brief and the project
- Creating a draft estimate: Website redesign
- Preparing the client link
The draft is ready, lines: 6. I wrote my assumptions into the estimate and created the client link. Please check the draft before you send it.
Texts and photos come from the client and are not part of the estimate
"Can it be faster?" You already have the answer
Usually that question means a night of recalculations. In Dead Point the calm and the forced scenario are computed in advance, with the difference in price and risk.
"estimate_final_2(3)_NEW" is no longer needed
Every "let's drop the dashboard" becomes a new version, not a new spreadsheet. You see what changed, by how many hours and how much money, and why.
The client approves by link, not "let's sync on Thursday"
Instead of a 12-page attachment the client gets a page with the Dead Point date up front, a calendar from start to delivery with holidays, the scope of work and an "Approve" button. One click adds the date to their calendar.

Estimate in hours or in points
Hours with a rate, or points on the scale your team uses: linear, Fibonacci (story points), powers of two, T-shirt from XS to 3XL. Set the team's throughput and sprint cost, and points turn into a timeline and a budget.

Tax is an estimate setting, not a side conversation
VAT, GST, sales tax or any other tax: any rate, on top of the price or included in it. The client sees tax as a separate line in the calculation.
Client abroad? Quote in their currency
Hourly rate in dollars, state fees in lari, total in euros: each line item keeps its own currency, and Dead Point converts at the official regulator's rate. The client sees both the original amount and the conversion.
Deadlines that hold: holidays are already counted
Dead Point computes deadlines against the working-day calendar, with public holidays, weekends and observed dates. A deadline that lands on a holiday moves to the next working day.

Questions people ask before signing up
What is Dead Point
A project timeline and cost estimation service for studios, agencies and freelance teams. You build an estimate from line items with rates, compute two scenarios (normal and crunch), factor in tax and the working-day calendar, and send the client a report by link instead of a spreadsheet in email.
How much does it cost
Dead Point is free. Every feature is available to everyone: estimates, scenarios, versions, password-protected links, PDF and XLSX export. There are no paid plans and no trial.
Do I need a card
No. Dead Point takes no payments, so we never ask for card details.
How does passwordless sign-in work
You enter your email and we send a one-time link. Following the link signs you in, usually in about 30 seconds. There is no password, neither for you to remember nor in our database.
Which tax regimes are supported
VAT at any rate, on top of the price or included in it, or no tax at all. Tax is computed right in the estimate, and the client sees it as a separate line in the calculation.
In which formats can I hand the estimate to a client
A link to a live report (with a password if you like), a PDF for printing and sign-offs, and an XLSX for those who only trust a spreadsheet.
What does the client see by the link
A page with the Dead Point date and a timeline calendar, scope of work, two scenarios with a recommendation, a calculation with tax, approval and payment details with a QR code. No "#REF!" and no comments in the margins.
Your client will approve the next estimate faster
Sign in in 30 seconds: email, link, and you are working. No password, no card
