Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Websites can also store data in your browser's local storage and session storage. This policy lists what Dead Point stores, why and for how long. The controller is "Dead Point", see the Privacy Policy.
"deadpoint.app" below means the website, "the app" means app.deadpoint.app. Cookies set for ".deadpoint.app" are shared by the website, the app and the API.

How the Google tag behaves before you choose: the tag loads on every page in Google's "consent mode" with all storage denied. In that mode it sets no cookies but sends Google a cookieless request with the page, your browser type and your IP address. Google states that it does not store IP addresses of EU users and uses them only to derive a rough location. Advertising features are always off.
In the app (app.deadpoint.app): our own usage events
| Name | Type | Where | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
dp_anon_id |
Local storage | The app | A random device ID attached to product usage events | Until you clear it |
Usage events go only to our own servers (see the Privacy Policy, section 3). Before you sign in, events are sent only if you accept in the app's banner. After you sign in, four events are always recorded: sign-in, workspace created, estimate created, estimate published.
The app currently uses no third-party analytics, error tracking or session recording.
5. Managing your choice
- Change your mind on the website or in the app: clear the site data for deadpoint.app in your browser, reload the page and choose again in the banner
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and stop the app from working
